Tips for Drinking More Water 

Water is Good For you.  Use these tips to begin drinking more for better health.

  1. Water is one of the best things you can put in your body. It helps you absorb nutrients, protects your vital organs, aids in detoxification and regulates your body temperature. Drink more of it.
  2. While traditional wisdom says you need 8 glasses of water per day, everyone’s water intake varies. If your urine is clear or a very light color, you’re probably sufficiently hydrated.
  3. If you exercise a lot or it’s hot outside, increasing perspiration, up your water intake.
  4. Water is the best beverage for hydration. Drink more of it.
  5. Beverages containing caffeine cause your body to lose water, so make up for it with extra water.
  6. Dehydration symptoms: joint and muscle pain, headaches and constipation. Drink more water if you feel those.
  7. Only about 20% of our required water intake comes from food. The rest comes from beverages, so drink more water.
  8. Don’t like the taste of plain water? Add cucumber or squeeze in some citrus fruit.
